We are partnering with the Waltham Partnership for Youth on a “Backpack to School” project which will supply local children with backpacks filled with school supplies for next September. We are asking our campers to donate the school supplies.
The Waltham Partnership for Youth will distribute the backpacks to deserving children who are affiliated with the Waltham Family School, the Waltham Boys & Girls Club or family shelters in the area.
In the past Running Brook campers have generously sent over fifteen-hundred pairs of shoes to children in Afghanistan and donated thousands of children’s books to local organizations.It is our expectation that this latest project will be enthusiastically embraced by our campers and, with your help provide a very meaningful service to the Walthamcommunity.
Our Wish List
Pencils , Pens, Crayons, Glue sticks, notebooks, pocket folders, erasers, rulers, pencil cases, scissors, colored pencils - For the older kids- 3 ring binders, dividers, filler paper, protractor, scientific calculator. These are just ideas, if you think of other school supplies for grade K-12 please send those in as well.
